Udinese sign Lukovic

Udinese have clinched the signing of Aleksandar Lukovic from Crvena Zvezda.

Udinese have clinched the signing of Aleksandar Lukovic from Crvena Zvezda.

The talented defender has joined Giovanni Galeone's side for a fee of around ‚é¼2 million (£1.4 million) on a five-year contract.

However, one potential stumbling block could be the fact that Udinese already have their full quota of EU players.

Libyan Al Saadi Ghedaffi is expected to leave the club this summer to make room for the Serbian, but if he remains Lukovic will be sent out for a brief stint elsewhere.

Udinese have also completed the transfer of Uruguayan starlet Juan Surriaco from Central Espanol.

Fiorentina and Chievo had also been interested in Surriaco, who holds an Italian passport, but Udinese have won the race for his signature.

Surriaco joins for ‚é¼1.8 million (£1.2 million) and has agreed a five-year deal.
