Miller turns pro at Crewe

Shaun Miller has penned his first professional contract at Crewe Alexandra.

Former academy scholar Shaun Miller has penned his first professional contract at Crewe Alexandra.

The 18-year-old has been associated with the Cheshire club since the age of seven and has come through the impressive youth system at Gresty Road.

Miller has been rewarded with a professional contract after impressing last term in the final year of his scholarship.

The youngster has already had to recover from serious injury after breaking his ankle while playing for Crewe's Under-16 team.

Miller joins fellow scholars Adam Dugdale, John Dillon, Adam Warlow, Cavell Coo and Christopher Flynn in signing professional contracts and will be looking to follow in the footsteps of other Gresty Road graduates such as Danny Murphy and Dean Ashton.

Manager Dario Gradi will look to his young stars to show the enthusiasm and skill needed to get Alexandra back into The Championship at the first attempt.
