Former Spain coach Jose Antonio Camacho reckons he will buy Jose Antonio Reyes from Arsenal if Juan Palacios wins the Real Madrid presidential elections.
The latest electioneering from the Spanish capital involves Palacios and Camacho claiming they will sign Reyes, Joaquin and Pablo Ibanez if Palacios wins Sunday's vote for control of the club.
"I have spoken to Reyes and he would love to come and join us," Camacho told a news conference. "Our vice-president has met Arsenal's David Dein and he will receive us on July 3 to close the deal.
"With Joaquin, we have the player's agreement and his club Real Betis have our proposal.
"At present, we have a difference of é¼2 million separating us from a deal, which we will resolve when we are elected.
"Pablo is ours."
Pablo is currently with Atletico Madrid but is being lined up to switch to El Santiago Bernabeu.
There are four other presidential candidates with Lorenzo Sanz promising to sign Michael Carrick, Fernando Gago, Gianluca Zambrotta, Emerson and Khalid Boulahrouz.
Ramon Calderon is likely to appoint Juventus coach Fabio Capello and believes Arjen Robben will arrive at Real from Chelsea. Kaka of Milan is also target despite agreeing a new deal with the Rossoneri.
Juan Miguel Villar Mir wants Arsene Wenger to take over as coach and claims to have agreed a deal with Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
Arturo Baldasano will move for England coach Sven Goran Eriksson and has announced plans to sign Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas and Mahamadou Diarra of Lyon.
