Clyde on trial at NAC

Clyde Wijnhard is back in his homeland after winning a trial at NAC Breda.

Well travelled Dutchman Clyde Wijnhard is back in his homeland after winning a trial at NAC Breda.

The 32-year-old striker has enjoyed somewhat of a nomadic existence since moving to English football, with Leeds United his first port of call in 1998.

Spells at Huddersfield, Preston and Oldham were interrupted by a brief sojourn in Portugal, before he moved back to England to join Darlington.

Last season saw the powerful front man have a spell at Macclesfield but it is back in Holland where he is now attempting to secure a permanent stay.

Wijnhard has plenty of experience of Dutch football having played for Ajax, Groningen and RKC before he made the switch to England.
