Betis land Odonkor
Real Betis have signed Germany winger David Odonkor as Joaquin's replacement.
Real Betis have moved to replaced Joaquin with the signing of Germany World Cup winger David Odonkor.The 22-year-old joins the Andalucian club in a é¼6 million (£4 million) deal from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
Odonkor has signed a five-year deal with the Primera Liga club after completing a medical at the Manuel Luiz de Lopera on Monday, having caught the eye after some stellar performances at the World Cup this summer.
The youngster will fill the void on the right side of midfield left by the departure of Spain international Joaquin following his £16 million move to Liga rivals Valencia this week.
With Thursday's transfer deadline looming, Betis have also boosted the left-hand side of midfield with the signing of Brazilian wing back Jorge Wagner.
The 28-year-old joins Betis from new Copa Libertadores winners Internacional, having had previous spells with Brazilian clubs Bahia, Cruzeiro and Corinthians.
He has also had a spell in Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow.
