Bulls add a pair

Hereford United have signed midfielder Jordan Fitzpatrick and striker Marcus Palmer.

Hereford United boss Graham Turner has boosted his ranks with the additions of midfielder Jordan Fitzpatrick and striker Marcus Palmer.

Both players signed for the League Two new boys on Friday after coming to Edgar Street as free agents.

Fitzpatrick Joins The Bulls after leaving Championship side Wolves at the end of last season, while Palmer is a former Cheltenham Town player.

After impressing Turner in training this summer, the Hereford boss opted to take the pair on the club's books.

"Marcus Palmer played for us in one or two of the two pre-season matches and has been training off and on with us and we just felt he's got the potential and well worth taking the chance with him," Turner told the club's official website.

"Jordan Fitzpatrick left Wolves at the end of last season and has been training with us for several weeks and we've been impressed enough with his potential to offer him a pro contract.

"We're hoping they'll work along the same lines as Andy Williams and to some extent Sam Gwynne when they first came into the club and they're with us now."

Turner, meanwhile, has extended the loan of goalkeeper Scott Tynan for a second month from Nationwide Conference club Rushden & Diamonds.
