Koller frustrated by Monaco form

Czech striker Jan Koller is becoming increasingly frustrated by life at Monaco.

Czech Republic international Jan Koller says he is becoming increasingly frustrated by life at Monaco.

The Stade Louis II outfit are currently languishing 16th in the league after losing five out of their opening eight games thus far this season.

Koller has scored just once for the Principality side since his Bosman free transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer and has been disappointed with the service he has received.

"We create very few goal-scoring chances, and taking into account the chances we have had we are still in a good position," Koller explained.

"I am happy if I get a single shot in a game. I need crosses, the final ball and invention have been missing so far.

"Even coach [Laszlo] Boloni asked me what I need and what I have been missing, and I told him it's 'shooting'.

"I don't even feel like a striker nowadays."

But it's not all bleak from the 33-year-old, and he feels ASM can still turn their season around before it is too late.

"It could be improved with a couple of wins, we really need them to push us up to mid-table and start playing without stress," he added.

"We are a good team, we are just suffering at the moment."

Monaco have the international break to contend with before resuming their Ligue 1 campaign away against Bordeaux on October 14.
