Lua Lua focused on football

Portsmouth's Tresor Lomana Lua Lua will pay no attention to reports about his private life.

Portsmouth striker Tresor Lomana Lua Lua is determined to focus on his football and pay no attention to reports about his private life.

The 25-year-old was arrested two weeks ago following a domestic incident but released without charge.

He believes there are critics looking to sully his name, but is not prepared let all the talk bother him.

"It's been a difficult time but sometimes it is better to let the football do the talking," he said.

"The rest of it is all nonsense. It's just rubbish. I'm just happy to be back playing again. I'm getting my fitness back and focusing on getting sharper.

"I'll focus on that because that is what matters. All the other stuff is just talk. Well, let them talk."

Lua Lua contracted malaria last year whilst on international duty with DR Congo, and lost his baby son in January.

He has struggled with injuries in the last few months but has played his part in Portsmouth's superb start to the season.

"It seems like the devil is always trying to get God's child," he told the Portsmouth News.

"People can keep trying to bring me down but they will never catch me."
