Hull deal an option for Mills

Stuart Pearce admits Danny Mills could secure a permanent move to Hull City.

Stuart Pearce admits there is a chance Danny Mills could secure a permanent move to Hull City.

The Manchester City full back joined the Championship club on a two-month loan in September and has made eight appearances for Hull.

He is due to return to City in a week's time when his future with the Premiership club will be discussed.

Mills had made just one appearance for Pearce's side prior to leaving on loan, with the City boss conceding a permanent deal is a possibility.

"I saw Phil Parkinson recently and he suggested that (a permanent deal) might be the case," Pearce told the club's official website.

"So I'll speak with Danny and with Phil over the next week.

"I think he's due back on the 17th or 18th, so we'll have a chat then and see what all parties would prefer to do and come out with some sort of solution."

Meanwhile, Pearce has identified four position in his squad that he is hoping to strengthen when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

He added: "I've got a priority on four positions in our team that I think we can strengthen and that probably won't change between now and the window, and now and the end of the season."
