Everton striker Andy Johnson insists he is not worried about his recent goal drought.Johnson has failed to score in his last eight games after making a blistering start to his Goodison Park career.
The former Crystal Palace ace, who has bagged six goals so far this term, believes despite his recent lack of goals he is improving as a player.
"I haven't scored in eight games but hopefully if I can keep getting the chances it will pop in on Saturday," Johnson told the club's official website.
"I am not worried. I went through the same thing in pre-season.
"Every striker goes through it but I think because I got off to such a flyer with six goals in seven I think the expectation from myself and everybody else was there.
"I am pleased with my form, I feel I am making good runs and I am probably playing better now than in the first six games but because I am not scoring the goals people don't concentrate too much on your form.
"I feel my touch is getting better but you get paid to score goals and hopefully I can carry that on this weekend."
Meanwhile, Everton boss David Moyes has admitted he may have to reluctantly enter the January transfer window to bolster his injury-hit squad.
Moyes has lost the likes of Tim Cahill, Tony Hibbert and Gary Naysmith to injury and he believes he may need to strengthen his squad in the New Year.
"I think we're short in numbers," said Moyes. "We have injuries to Tony Hibbert, Gary Naysmith and Tim Cahill with Alessandro Pistone out long term but we're not a club with nine or 10 injured players, so we're actually just short of numbers in general.
"It'll be difficult to get players in to improve the side, and January's not the best time for shopping, but we might still need to do something."
