Knee op for Chadwick
Luke Chadwick has had a minor operation on the knee injury he picked up against Ipswich.
Luke Chadwick has undergone a minor operation on the knee injury he picked up on his Norwich City debut.
The winger, who joined on loan from Stoke City last week, put his new side ahead in Sunday's East Anglian derby at Ipswich Town.
But he was forced off in the closing stages after colliding with the advertising hoardings and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Chadwick suffered a deep gash to his knee, with The Canaries admitting the player was fortunate not to be seriously injured, although it is unclear when he will be fit to return.
"He had surgery done on his knee to clean it up," physio Neal Reynolds told the club's official website.
"He's had a really nasty gash on it. It was very deep and long.
"If it had been three inches lower it could have been much more serious."
Chadwick also appeared to hurt his shoulder in the incident, but Reynolds was quick to play down a second injury problem.
He added: "If it was dislocated, it went back in very quickly - he put it back in himself."
Meanwhile, Canaries trainee Asmat El Ouargui will not be offered a professional contract once his academy scholarship ends at the end of November.
