Fabregas in Cole attack

Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas has launched a scathing attack on Ashley Cole.

Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas has hit out at Ashley Cole and insists he is not friends with his former team-mate.

Cole criticised Fabregas in his autobiography and the Spaniard has not forgiven the Chelsea defender for his attack on him.

Fabregas refused to shake hands with Cole at the end of last weekend's clash between Arsenal and Chelsea and reports suggest the pair had a bust-up in the tunnel at the end of the game.

Midfield schemer Fabregas admits he was angry with Cole's attack on him and is adamant he does not want to speak to the player again.

"For me, Ashley Cole is a closed subject. He is not a friend because after leaving Arsenal he said many unjust things about us," Fabregas told the News of the World.

"In the world of football, respect between companions is the key - and he broke this rule.

"This player is forgotten - and also the person. I do not want to speak to him again.

"I believe that Cole was very well treated by Arsenal and that his response was not correct.

"I still don't think I am a star, but a player who desires to progress each day.

"On the pitch I appear to be fragile but week by week I am ripening and will never be intimidated by anyone. Never."
