Nastic bag Boca star

Nastic have taken Jose Maria Calvo on loan and are closing on Quique de Lucas.

Gimnastic de Tarragona have taken defender Jose Maria Calvo on loan from Boca Juniors and are closing on the capture of former Chelsea midfielder Quique de Lucas.

Calvo will play the remainder of the season on loan with Nastic having agreed a fee of ‚é¼920,000 (£600,000) should they wish to make the move permanent in the summer.

The 25-year-old has made 149 appearances for the Argentine giants, but lost his place to Hugo Ibarra last term.

Boca coach Miguel Angel Rosso has given the move his blessing with Calvo no longer an integral part of his plans and Nastic are likely to unveil the player in the next few days.

The Argentine could also be joined by another new arrival in the shape of De Lucas who has agreed a move from Alaves.

Nastic are understood to have concurred on a deal with their Basque counterparts, but the transfer is being held up as De Lucas seeks to recover what he claims are wages owed to him by Alaves.
