Fulham striker Bjorn Runstrom has revealed that he will be joining Luton Town on loan. The 22-year-old has made just two substitute appearances for The Cottagers since signing from Hammarby in the summer and the arrival of Vincenzo Montella has pushed him further down the pecking order under Chris Coleman.
Clubs from Austria and Italy - where he has previously played for both Chievo and Bologna - were also interested in securing Runstrom on loan.
However the Bedfordshire-based Hatters have won the chase for his signature due to their proximity to the London club.
"I hope I can do something positive for Luton," Runstrom told Swedish media.
"Coleman wondered if I could consider playing for Luton for a while to get some playing time.
"I think Fulham want me to be nearby to be able to check on me."
Luton boss Mike Newell recently strengthened his attack with the capture of Drew Talbot from Sheffield Wednesday, but having sold top striker Rowan Vine to Birmingham, The Hatters are still desperate to bring in new faces to ward off the looming threat of relegation.
