Bradford City have signed Southend striker Billy Paynter on a month-long loan deal.
Bradford City have signed Southend striker Billy Paynter on a month-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old, who joined The Shrimpers from Hull in the summer, has had a tough time at his new club, with a hamstring injury hampering his progress.
Paynter's ability to play on the wing as well as up front will help Bradford boss Colin Todd to fill the gaps left by the departures of Dean Windass and Jermaine Johnson as well as gaining some match practice.
Meanwhile, Southend have sent Under 18 trio Jack Absolon, Lee Smyth and Carl Patten to Bishop Stortford to gain some experience.
