Lyon ended their barren run, while Paul Le Guen celebrated a first league win for PSG.
Champions Lyon got back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Lorient, while Paul Le Guen celebrated his first league win in charge of Paris Saint Germain.
Lyon had not won for five games previously, and despite still holding a sizeable lead over the chasing pack, the win over Lorient secured by striker Fred after just eight minutes will come as a huge relief to Gerard Houllier.
Paris Saint Germain claimed a first victory under Le Guen with a 4-2 win over Monaco.
Amara Diane's fifth minute goal gave the hosts the perfect start and a fortunate second through goalkeeper Flavio Roma's own goal (34) set Le Guen's team up nicely.
Monaco striker Frederic Piquionne scored his second goal in two games for his new club to reduce the arrears five minutes after the restart.
But PSG restored their advantage through Marcelo Gallardo' first goal for the club nine minutes from time.
Cristian Rodriguez saw the hosts home and dry with a fourth goal four minutes later, while Jan Koller's 86th minute goal was no more than a consolation for the visitors.
The win is PSG's first in 13 attempts and sees the club climb clear of the relegation places.
Third-placed Lille slipped to a late 1-0 defeat at Toulouse after defender Gregory Tafforeau put the ball into his own net in the 92nd minute.
Nice did their hopes of avoiding relegation a power of good with a 3-0 win over fellow strugglers Troyes.
Lilian Laslandes claimed two goals, the first arriving on the stroke of half-time and the second 13 minutes after the restart, before Honorato Ederson put the seal on the win 12 minutes from time.
Strugglers Nantes suffered a 5-2 home defeat to Valenciennes, for whom Steve Savidan claimed four goals.
Savidan's hat-trick (18, 49 and 71) came without response from the hosts, bar the 62nd minute red card for Dimtri Payet.
Laurent Dufresne made it 4-0 four minutes after Savidan's third goal, before the home side did rally through Claudiu Keseru (78) and Loic Guillon (87)
Savidan was to have the final say, however, with his fourth and his team's fifth of the night three minutes from time.
Matt Moussilou's 75th minute goal rescued a point for St Etienne in a 1-1 draw at Auxerre, who had taken the lead through Kanga Akale (19).
Rennes also left it late to claim a point against Nancy at home. Carlos Kim gave Nancy the lead in the 56th minute, but John Utaka's goal four minutes from time saw the teams share the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
Elsewhere, Le Mans earned a 3-2 win over 10-man Sedan.
Mamadou Samassa's 13th minute goal for the hosts was cancelled out by former Middlesbrough striker Joseph Desire-Job six minutes before half-time.
But that was as good as it got for the bottom club as Mansour Boutabout saw red shortly after the hour and in the 67th minute Ndri Romaric restored Le Mans' lead.
Libano Grafite added his team's third goal five minutes later, while Abdelnasser Ouadah scored the visitors' consolation on the stroke of full-time.
