Lyon produced a stunning comeback to snatch a 3-3 draw at home to Sochaux, while there were big wins for teams at the bottom end of Ligue 1.

Reigning champions Lyon looked set to be heading for another domestic defeat when they trailed 3-1 with just four minutes to go.

But Sylvain Wiltord pulled one back on 89 minutes and Juninho Pernambucano converted a penalty three points into stoppage time to snare a point.

Sochaux had earlier gone 2-0 up through Alvaro dos Santos and Karim Ziani's penalty before Milan Baros replied. Sebastien Grax then scored for the visitors on 86 minutes.

Toulouse moved into third position in Ligue 1 with a convincing 3-0 home win over Marseille.

The two sides had been level on points at the start of play, but Toulouse powered to victory against their rivals for a UEFA Champions League place.

Johan Elmander made the breakthrough for the home side on 39 minutes and the Sweden international scored again three minutes after half-time.

Achille Emana's 63rd minute goal sealed the win for Toulouse, with Marseille now slipping down to sixth.

Lille were unable to find a positive response after their Champions League defeat to Manchester United as Claude Puel's side slipped to a 2-1 loss at lowly Nice.

Both sides were reduced to 10 men on 35 minutes when Florent Balmont and Nicolas Plestan were sent off for fighting before Nice took a 42nd minute lead through Bakari Kone.

Yohan Cabaye levelled things up on 63 minutes, but Kone struck his second of the game on 85 minutes to earn Nice a precious three points.

Bottom club Sedan recorded an impressive 2-0 success at Rennes, with Gregory Pujol netting on 14 minutes and Mansour Boutabout scoring four minutes from time.

Troyes are also involved in the relegation battle and they picked up a 3-0 win at home to Lorient.

Gael Danic scored after just two minutes and David Gigliotti added a second before half-time. Danic completed the scoring on 71 minutes.

Goals from Frederic Piquionne (12) and Diego Perez (47) earned Monaco a 2-0 triumph at Le Mans.

Claudiu Keseru's 75th minute goal claimed a 1-1 draw for Nantes at home to Auxerre, who had gone in front on 19 minutes through Benoit Cheyrou.
