Nantes booked their passage into the semi-finals of Coupe de France with a penalty shoot-out win over Sedan.The two sides were locked together at 1-1 after 120 minutes and it was Nantes who held their nerve the better as they claimed a 6-5 success.
Sedan took the lead on 13 minutes when Gregory Pujol headed past Fabien Barthez, but the lead lasted just 60 seconds as Claudiu Keseru's deflected shot found the target.
There were no further goals in normal time and it was left to Frederic Da Rocha to slot home the winning penalty, after Barthez had saved from Nicolas Marin.
Marseille progressed into the last four with a comfortable 5-0 win over Vannes.
L'OM's league form has been poor of late, but they turned on the class on Tuesday.
Toifilou Maoulida proved to be the star turn as he netted a brace, while Mamadou Niang, who opened the scoring in the first minute, the under-fire Djibril Cisse and Mikael Pagis also found the target.
