Worley joins Rovers
Doncaster Rovers have signed Chelsea's Harry Worley on a month's loan.
Doncaster Rovers have signed Harry Worley on a month's loan from Chelsea.
The talented centre-half made his debut for Sean O'Driscoll's side in Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
"I've come here to gain some experience and be part of a first team set up," Worley told Doncaster's official website.
"I don't know what the future holds, although I still have another year on my contract at Chelsea.
"I hope to do my best for this club while I am here and see how it goes."
Worley joined Chelsea in 2005 for an initial fee of £150,000 having come through the junior ranks at Stockport, but he has been limited to youth and reserve team appearances.
Doncaster's Director of Football, Mickey Walker said: "We looked at Harry a couple of years ago while he was at Stockport, but that time we were competing against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool for his signature so obviously we missed out.
"We think he will add depth to a position where we are quite short of cover. It is also great for the football club to have a relationship with a team like Chelsea where players want to come to us on loan."
