Paris Saint Germain boosted their survival hopes with a shock 2-1 win at Lens.

Amara Diane gave PSG the perfect start with the opening goal after just two minutes.

Lens were gifted an equaliser on 52 minutes when David Rozehnal put through his own net.

PSG grabbed the winner on 71 minutes with Sylvain Armand netting to fire the capital side out of the bottom three.

Sedan secured a priceless 1-0 win at relegation rivals Nantes courtesy of a Fabien Barthez blunder.

The only goal of the game came on the hour mark when Sedan captain David Ducourtioux's cross was pushed into his own net by Barthez.

The enigmatic keeper was then substituted 10 minutes later by Nantes, who slip below Sedan in the table as a result of the defeat.

Toulouse and Sochaux boosted their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League with 1-0 wins over St Etienne and Troyes respectively.

A 73rd minute goal from Sweden international Johan Elmander was enough to secure the points for Toulouse at home to St Etienne.

Sochaux, meanwhile, notched their victory at Troyes thanks to a 33rd minute effort from Romain Pitau.

In injury-time, Troyes' Demetrius Ferreira and Sochaux's Philippe Brunel were sent off for violent conduct.

Valenciennes continue to climb away from trouble after an impressive 2-0 victory at Champions League chasing Lille.

Geoffrey Doumeng made the breakthrough on 77 minutes and substitute Eric Hassli sealed the win in the last minute.

Jaroslav Plasil scored 10 minutes from time to claim a 1-1 draw for Monaco at Nice, who had gone in front on 11 minutes through Lilian Laslandes and then had Cyril Rool sent off on 56 minutes.

Auxerre came from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw at Lille, who scored on 46 minutes through Ismael Bangoura and five minutes later through Vinicius De Melo.

Kanga Akale brought Auxerre back into the game on 66 minutes and four minutes later Younes Kaboul pounced for the leveller.
