Nice picked up a precious 2-1 win at home to St Etienne in the battle to avoid relegation from Ligue 1.

David Bellion's brace lifted Nice four points clear of the relegation zone after St Etienne had taken the lead.

Lamine Diatta put Les Verts in front three minutes into the second half and, at that stage, fourth place in the table looked on the cards for the visitors.

But former Manchester United flop Bellion drew Nice level 20 minutes from time before bagging the winner on 81 minutes.

Bellion was brought down in the box by Zoumana Camara and picked himself up to send his penalty beyond Jeremy Janot.
