Lyon are weighing up bids for Porto stars Pepe and Ricardo Quaresma.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of Brazilian defender Pepe, but admitted earlier this month that the club are unlikely to sign him while they have John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho on the books.
Former Barcelona winger Quaresma, meanwhile, was also rumoured to be a Chelsea target, while both Real and Atletico Madrid have been connected with moves for the player in the last year.
However, French champions Lyons are rumoured to have a é¼100m (£68m) war chest ready for the summer transfer window and are looking at the possibility of signing both players.
"Those players are on our list," Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas told O Jogo.
"It is true that we are interested, but now it all depends on the coach initiating contact with Porto.
"We want to build a stronger Lyon team, because it is necessary for us to bring in important players to continue our project."
Porto have not responded to the comments, but in recent weeks their directors have valued the players at a minimum of é¼25m (£17m) each.
