Larkin joins Cobblers

Northampton have signed striker Colin Larkin on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old has previously played for Wolves, Mansfield and Chesterfield.

Cobblers boss Stuart Gray believes Larkin will bring something new to his attacking line-up.

"Colin is a player who will give us something different. He has pace and he can move defences about," Gray told the club's website.

"He is a 100 per cent player who has a great attitude and will provide a good blend up front for us.

"Pace and quality movement is something that Colin has and that is always a good attribute to bring into a squad."

Larkin spent two years with Chesterfield where he made 90 appearances and scored 13 goals.
