Motherwell's relegation troubles deepened with a 1-0 home defeat to Ross County.

The Fir Park club were unable to capitalise on Hamilton's 2-1 defeat to bottom club Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the day's early kick-off and remain in 11th place on goal difference from the Accies.

French midfielder Christopher Routis made the decisive intervention from close range on 72 minutes leaving Motherwell with three games remaining to climb out of the relegation play-off place at the foot of the table - the first of which is at Hamilton on 13 May.
