Ross County have signed former Wolves left-back Jamie Reckord on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old is the third new signing in a week for the Staggies after the arrivals of Canada midfielder Terry Dunfield and former Barnsley and Leeds midfielder Martin Woods.

Reckord, who had loan spells at Northampton, Coventry, Scunthorpe and Plymouth Argyle, has signed until the end of January.

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre said: "He is 6ft 1in, an athletic player, great left foot, quality on the ball, and I think he'll do very well."

McIntyre has also taken former Motherwell defender Paul Quinn on trial.

The spree comes after Richard Brittain and Rocco Quinn were told they need operations.

Brittain faces up to four weeks out when he has foot surgery – but will be available for the visit of Celtic on Saturday - while Quinn is out for several months with a hip problem.

McIntyre added: "We felt it was important to cover the positions with a couple of players needing operations.

“It adds good players to the ones we already have."

The Staggies lie bottom of the Scottish Premiership after nine games.
