York have signed forward Lewis Alessandra on loan from Rochdale for a month.
Alessandra will go straight into York's squad for Saturday's Sky Bet League 2 game at home against Barnet.
The 27-year-old, who started out at Oldham, spent two seasons with Morecambe before joining back up with former Latics boss John Sheridan at Plymouth in June 2013.
Alessandra turned down a new deal at Plymouth to return to the north west with Rochdale last summer and has scored two goals in 11 appearances for Keith Hill's side this season.
