Greeks capture Pompey ace

Olympiakos have announced the signing of Portsmouth striker Tresor Lomana Lua Lua. Lua Lua has inked a three-year deal at the Greek giants after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. Pompey boss Harry Redknapp confirmed over the weekend that Lua Lua was on his way to Olympiakos after Portsmouth agreed an undisclosed fee with the Greeks for the former Newcastle forward. Lua Lua joined Portsmouth in 2004 scoring 19 goals in 91 games, but he struggled for form and fitness last season and Pompey have decided to let him move on. A statement on the club's website, olympiacos.org, said: "Olympiakos CFP announces the signing of Tresor Lomana Lua Lua. The Congolese international player signed a three-year contract." Lua Lua's departure may see Redknapp enter the transfer market for a new striker with Nicolas Anelka and Yakubu Aiyegbeni both linked with moves to Fratton Park.
