Defender completes loan move
Defender Steve Watt has signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle on a season-long loan from Swansea City.
The 22-year-old, who joined City from Chelsea in January 2006, makes the move from League One to the Scottish Premier League after an injury plagued spell at the Liberty Stadium.
Now back to full fitness, Watt looks set to make his first appearance for the reserves against Motherwell.
Swans boss Roberto Martinez told the club's official website that the move was in the interest of the player.
"Steve is a young player with fantastic potential who has been unfortunate with injuries in his time at Swansea.
"Waiting for an opportunity with us is no good for him right now," he added. "He needs to go and get games to progress and become the player we think he can be.
"We gave him another contract because we think he can be an asset to Swansea, and going on loan to a very good league like the SPL will help him achieve that."
Recall
The club has the option of recalling Watt in December if required and Martinez has said he will discuss options with the player when the time comes.
"We will review things in December and decide where we go from there depending on how Steve finds it."
