Hearts will be without three players for the Scottish Premiership encounter against Celtic at Tynecastle, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 1.30pm on Sunday.
Forward Juanma Delgado is suspended following his red card in the scoreless draw with St Johnstone last Saturday, after his head-butt on David Wotherspoon.
Winger Jamie Walker and striker Soufian El Hassnaoui have both returned to training following knee problems but are not yet ready.
Celtic boss Ronny Deila is hoping top-scorer Leigh Griffiths will be fit when he takes his squad through to Edinburgh.
The Hoops striker has missed the last three matches with a calf injury but will be given time to prove his fitness.
Charlie Mulgrew has started running after recovering from a thigh injury but will not be involved, while skipper Scott Brown remains out of action because of a knee injury.
Deila's side are looking to bounce back from their second defeat of the league campaign against Motherwell at Celtic Park last weekend.
The previous two matches between the teams this season ended in a scoreless draw at Celtic Park, while the Hoops won 2-1 in a League Cup clash at Tynecastle.
