Rangers boss Graeme Murty will delay naming his side for Saturday’s Scottish Cup clash at home to Hamilton until as late as possible, in order to test the fitness of those who played in midweek.

The Ibrox club were involved in a tough league encounter on Wednesday against St Johnstone, when Rob Kiernan was shown a red card late in the game.

However, with the Gers all set to appeal the defender's sending off, it would mean Kiernan would be available for the quarter-final in Glasgow.

The hosts will be without Jordan Rossiter and Niko Kranjcar who remain sidelined through injury. The former has not played since August, while the Croatian last appeared for the first team in October.

Meanwhile, Hamilton are without Darian MacKinnon and Danny Redmond who are suspended for the midday fixture.

Both players collected their second bookings of the competition during the fifth-round replay against Dunfermline and will have to sit this one out.
