Hutchings has faith in Hull target
Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings is not looking to sell Hull City target Caleb Folan.
The striker started for Wigan in Tuesday's Carling Cup defeat at home to Hull, having attracted the interest of the Championship club.
But Hutchings is not about to give up on a player who has scored twice in 16 appearances since joining from Chesterfield in January.
"I don't want to sell Caleb at this moment in time," Hutchings told the Wigan Evening Post. "It would have to be a huge offer if I did.
"Caleb has come a long way in a short space of time. Last season he did well and scored a couple of important goals.
Raw
"He got an opportunity to start last night and I thought he worked very hard as he always does, but Caleb is still learning the game and is a little bit raw."
Meanwhile, Hutchings confirmed he is hoping to add to his JJB squad before Friday's transfer deadline.
He added: "I'd like to think we can get something done.
"We are working hard behind the scenes on one or two things, although whether they can come off remains to be seen.
"Things have been going along nicely, but you never know what can happen in this game. But hopefully we can have some good news on the signings front before too long."
