Grimsby Town have released young defender Luke Foulkes from his contract.
Foulkes had signed a six-month contract in May and had hoped to prove himself in the first team this year.
However the former Sheffield United youngster has failed to make an impact at Blundell Park, after only featuring in the reserves and has subsequently been released.
A statement on the club's official website said manager Alan Buckley was letting the player try himself at another club.
