Steaua Bucharest's manager Gheorghe Hagi has been ordered by the club's owner to pick certain players.
Hagi told to listen or leave by Bucharest boss
Steaua Bucharest's manager Gheorghe Hagi has been warned by the club's owner to pick certain players or be sacked.
Hagi was blamed by owner Gigi Becali at the weekend for the team's goalless draw against city rivals Rapid Bucharest and has been told he must listen to his boss.
The argument has come about over Hagi's decision not to play Romeo Surdu or Valentin Badoi in the derby game.
The owner says if the two players do not play a part for Steaua against Slavia Prague on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League, Hagi will be fired.
"I want striker Romeo Surdu and midfielder Valentin Badoi to start the match in Prague," Becali said.
"Hagi will leave if he fails to make them play.
"I wanted to change the former great player Hagi into an even bigger coach Hagi but he fails to listen to me."
