Defender leaves Luton

Luton defender Sol Davis has joined Peterborough on a two-month loan deal. Davis has struggled for first-team football at Kenilworth Road due to competition from Lewis Emanuel and summer signing of Alan Goodall. The 28-year-old has played 160 league games since joining Luton from Swindon in 2002, but he has yet to make an appearance for the Hatters this season and has therefore joined Peterborough. Posh manager Darren Ferguson has moved to secure Davis as cover for Shane Blackett, who has been sidelined through injury, and Daniel Blanchett who is working his way back to fitness after an ankle problem. Davis, who recovered from a stroke on Luton's team bus last October to be back in the side by the end of 2006, is expected to feature in Peterborough's reserve fixture against Norwich on Monday night.
