City defender reveales Gunners support

Manchester City Micah Richards has revealed he would like to play for Arsenal one day. Richards has earned rave reviews for his City performances this season as Sven Goran Eriksson's side have produced a stunning start to their campaign. The 19-year-old, who has been rumoured as a long-term target of Chelsea, has also earned a regular place in the England side where he has impressed at full-back in the absence of the injured Gary Neville. Richards, though, has admitted he is a boyhood Arsenal fan and could be interested in an eventual move to Emirates Stadium.

Focused

"I was a big Ian Wright fan when I was younger, so I supported Arsenal," Richards told Nuts magazine. "Wright and Patrick Vieira were my idols so yeah, if the opportunity came to play for them one day I'd take it. However, Richards remains focused upon life with City - who boast a 100 per cent home record this season - and he is determined to build on their fantastic start. "But right now I'm concentrating on trying to keep City in the top half, and we've got the players to do it," Richards concluded.
