Yannick Bolasie cannot wait to return from injury and continue his development under Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace.

Bolasie's impressive start to the season was cut short when he picked up a calf injury in December, with Palace tailing off slightly in his absence.

The DR Congo international has undergone a stark transformation during Pardew's tenure at Selhurst Park, adding end product on a consistent basis to his scintillating individual displays.

And, speaking on Soccer AM, Bolasie was full of praise for Pardew, revealing he was looking forward to returning from injury and continuing his development at Palace.

"I always knew Pardew was a great manager," he said. "I always knew what he could do and I definitely thought he would help my attacking side of the game.

"As you can see, I have been showing that in glimpses and I think it is going to carry on.

"I've become a student of the game, I have been analysing a lot of performances. I have been watching a lot of football, things I can do, my team-mates and trying to benefit off that.

"Up until this latest injury I felt that I had been improving and getting to a level that I thought I could get to. I'm looking forward to getting back from injury."

Bolasie has worked under eight managers during his soon-to-be four-year spell at Palace.

And he had fond words for all of his managers he has played under during his professional career, especially Tony Pulis, who led the club to Premier League safety in 2013/14.

"Tony Pulis was an influence on me," Bolasie added. "I was the fittest I've ever been in my career when I was under Pulis.

"I haven't had the chance to get my fitness back to that level because I've played a lot of international football so I haven't had much of a break.

"All the managers I have come across have let me go and play my game so I give thanks to the managers I've played under because if it weren't for them I wouldn't be the player I am right now."
