Port Vale have bolstered their squad with the double signing of Adam Eckersley and Will Atkinson.
Manchester United defender Eckersley has signed a one-month loan deal after being farmed out by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 22-year-old had a spell on loan at Barnsley last season and he is highly regarded within the corridors of Old Trafford.
Atkinson arrives on loan from Hull with Tigers boss Phil Brown looking for the youngster to gain first-team experience.
Both players have gone straight into the Vale squad for their home game against Brighton on Saturday.
