Tranmere have completed the singing of Cardiff winger Kevin Cooper on a one-month loan deal.

Cooper joins Tranmere on loan

Tranmere have signed left winger Kevin Cooper from Cardiff City on a month's loan deal. Cooper, 32, will be available to play in Rovers' clash with Huddersfield Town at Prenton Park on Friday evening. Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore told the club's official website: "This is a great signing for the club. Steve Davies is a long-term absentee on the left so Kevin will add balance to the side. "He is an experienced winger who likes to get the ball into the box and can take on defenders. I'm sure his time here will be beneficial to both the club and to Kevin. "Cardiff manager Dave Jones has helped us out and I'm looking forward to working with Kevin and very pleased he has agreed to join us on loan."

Permission

Cooper has been given permission to play in Tranmere's FA Cup first round tie on November 10, making him ineligible to play for Cardiff in the competition. After starting his career at Derby, Cooper later made over 350 appearances for the likes of Stockport, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace and Wolves, before joining Cardiff in 2005. His last first-team appearance for The Bluebirds came in January 2007 and Cooper was transfer listed during the summer.
