Midfielder fit after meningtis frustration
Marseille starlet Samir Nasri is ready to kick-start his season after recovering from meningitis.
The highly-rated midfielder endured a frustrating few months, as he was hit with the illness shortly after returning from a knee injury.
However, with his lay-off at an end, he is poised to return to action against Lorient, but has stressed the difficulty of his ordeal.
Nasri told L'Equipe: "I had a very difficult experience, because I was very ill, I was washed out.
"I stayed in hospital for 11 days. I felt extremely tired so I did a whole new preparation. My season will really start against Lorient."
Contract extension
With the likes of Internazionale and Real Madrid reported to be among Nasri's suitors, his side are determined to tie him down with a new deal.
And the player says discussions are going well, but refused to rule out a departure from the club at the end of the season.
"I have not signed a contract extension yet, but talks improve well," he revealed, "and we are in talks for two or three additional years.
"Could I leave next summer? Yes, but I have to have a last good season."
