Manchester City Ladies' Izzy Christiansen wins PFA Women's Player of the Year 2015-16

Manchester City Ladies' Izzy Christiansen has been awarded PFA Women's Player of the Year 2015-16.

The 24-year-old England international midfielder scored six goals in 14 appearances in the Womens Super League 1 last season.

All six goals came in the last seven games to help her side to a second-place finish and Champions League qualification.

Christiansen joined City in February 2014 from fellow FA WSL outfit Birmingham and she picked up her first England cap last September against Estonia.

Meanwhile, Sunderland's Beth Mead won PFA Young Women's Player of the Year award, announced at Grosvenor House in London on Sunday.
