Fran Kirby and Eni Aluko celebrate after Chelsea Ladies claim the WSL title with a 2-0 win at Bristol City Women.

Chelsea Ladies secured the Women's Super League title and a domestic double by beating Bristol City Women 2-0 on Tuesday.

Drew Spence headed home Ji So-Yun's cross to put Chelsea ahead in the first half, after City had passed up a golden chance to take an early lead when former Blue Millie Farrow side-footed wide.

Chances came and went for the visitors before half-time, and they were nearly made to pay when Farrow forced an excellent save with the break approaching.

After half-time, Chelsea continued in the ascendancy but their victory was not secure until Jonna Andersson fired in a late second from Fran Kirby's low ball across the box, as Chelsea moved an unassailable nine points clear at the top of the table with one game to go.

Ji still had time to strike the bar for the visitors, before the celebrations began at full-time on the back of the Blues' fourth win in a row.

The victory meant Chelsea added the league silverware to the Women's FA Cup they won against Arsenal at Wembley on May 5.
