Eniola Aluko coy on future after Chelsea Ladies exit

Eniola Aluko discusses her future after leaving Chelsea Ladies, as well as the influence of Emma Hayes on her career.

Eniola Aluko says "it felt right to leave Chelsea", amid speculation linking her with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The striker, who joined the club in 2012, played her last game for Chelsea Ladies against Liverpool Ladies on May 20, scoring in a 3-2 win.

She has been linked with a move to a European club after winning the WSL 1 title and the Women's FA Cup with Chelsea this season.

"It's a fairy-tale ending for me," Aluko told Sportswomen, "I couldn't have wished for a better ending this season.

"I wouldn't have known this time last year that I was going to leave Chelsea but It felt right to leave Chelsea at this point.

"It's not just football, it's like leaving family. It was a big decision and I've had second thoughts over the past month."

When asked if a move to Paris Saint-Germain was on the cards next season, she said: "It may be, it may be.
