Yan Klukowski and Matt Partridge among eight players released by Newport

Newport midfielder Yan Klukowski and defender Matt Partridge are among eight players released, the club has confirmed.

Klukowski and Partridge, both regulars for Newport this season, Seth Nana-Twumasi, Rhys Taylor, Joe Green, Nathan Ralph, Scott Barrow and Dean Morgan are all out of contract and will not be offered new deals.

The club has made new contract offers to Mark Byrne, Andrew Hughes, Alex Rodman, Danny Holmes, Darren Jones, Scott Boden, John-Christophe Ayina and Medy Elito.

Lenell John-Lewis, Joe Day, Tom Meechan and Liam Angel all have one year left on their current deals and will remain at Rodney Parade, while the club has taken up one-year contract extensions for Tom Owen-Evans and Kieran Parselle.
