David Amoo signs new one-year contract at Partick Thistle

David Amoo has signed a new one-year contract at Partick Thistle, keeping him at Firhill until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Amoo, who joined the club from Carlisle United last summer, has made a strong impact for Alan Archibald's side, scoring five goals in 39 appearances.

The most memorable of his strikes, a left-foot finish in a 2-0 win against St Johnstone, earned him a nomination for the club's goal of the season competition.

Amoo, 25, began his career with Liverpool and had brief spells with Preston and Tranmere before spending two seasons with Carlisle, where he scored 13 times in 63 appearances.
