Adam Barton leaves Portsmouth for Partick Thistle

Portsmouth utility player Adam Barton has joined Partick Thistle for an undisclosed fee.
Jags manager Alan Archibald has been looking for a central defender and a midfielder and he found both in the one player as Barton signed a three-year deal.
Barton joined Pompey from Coventry a year ago and made 19 league appearances for Paul Cook's side - three of them this season.
However, the return to fitness of Jack Whatmough and arrivals of Tom Davies and Matt Clarke pushed the 25-year-old down the pecking order.
