Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier is confident his former club will halt Premier League leaders Leicester on Super Sunday.

The Foxes are four points clear at the top of the Premier League, but face a side who have already won at Chelsea and Manchester United this season.

The Saints have lofty aspirations of their own following back-to-back victories over Stoke and Liverpool, however.

Le Tissier said: "I think Southampton are more than capable of hurting any team in the Premier League when you get the likes of Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle on their day, as they've shown recently.

"They've had two big games against sides around them in the league and won them both, so confidence is high and this is a side who can go on a good run when they get on a roll.

"There's enough quality in the team to go there and score goals and not just sit back and let them dominate possession, which would be a mistake as they've proved they can break down teams."

The Saints have won seven of their last 11 games after an underwhelming first half of the season, which Le Tissier puts down to a drop in form from Mane and Pelle.

The Soccer Saturday pundit added: "Fraser Forster's return has obviously made a big difference but it was when Mane and Pelle's goals dried up that our form really dropped.

"I think Pelle was unsettled by transfer talk in January and it has taken him a bit of time to settle down. In some ways I hope they don't play too well over the rest of the season because they'll attract more interest over the summer."
