Defender keen to get back in the first team
Ricardo Rocha is aiming to boost Tottenham Hotspur's defence with a return to first-team action.
The Portuguese has been out for over two months with an ankle injury, but played for the reserves last week.
He was encouraged by his playing return and is now aiming to force his way into Juande Ramos' plans.
"I played 45 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday and it was very encouraging for me because I only started training on the Saturday and my ankle felt perfect," Rocha told the club's official website.
"Now I'm trying to get back in the first team as quickly as possible."
Spurs are currently short on defensive options, with Didier Zokora having to play as a makeshift centre-half in the Uefa Cup against Anderlecht last week.
Gareth Bale added to Ramos' injury problems on Monday when it was confirmed the teenager will be out for at least three months with a ligament problem in his foot.
