Inter ace to return from Brazil in the New Year

Internazionale expect Brazilian striker Adriano to return to the club at the beginning of the New Year after a period of mental and physical recuperation. Adriano, who has been consistently linked with a move to Manchester City, has featured for Inter only four times this season as he reportedly struggled with physical and psychological fitness problems. However, Adriano - who starred in his first two seasons at the Giuseppe Meazza - has recently undergone 'psychological treatment' in Brazil and Inter say the 25-year-old is on the mend. The Italian champions expect Adriano to return to the club on 1st January and are hopeful he will soon be back in first-team action. "He's recovered and he looks great," said Inter administrator Ernesto Paolillo. "We're getting only good news on Adriano. "We are happy because the player looks great, he's well physically and psychologically. He's better and should return on 1st January."
