Catch up with Team GB's first Olympians to arrive at their base in Rio for 2016 Olympics

Team GB athletes are stepping up their preparations for the 2016 Olympics in Rio at a holding camp in Belo Horizonte.

Their training is continuing at the Minas sporting club after £1.6m was invested in securing the facility well before the last Games took place in London four years ago.

The Brits beat both the USA and host nation Brazil to the right to have exclusive use of the complex a one-hour flight from Rio.

Having done that, they now hope to use the base as a springboard to their target of between 48 and 79 medals after their most successful haul yet in 2012.

Sky Sports News HQ reporter Geraint Hughes has travelled to South America and has visited the Brits to check up on their progress.

He spent time with the men's table tennis team and spoke to Paul Drinkhall and Sam Walker as they build up to the start of competition on August 7.
