Liverpool striker Christian Benteke will miss Belgium's European Qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Brussels on Thursday.
Benteke has pulled out of the match after undergoing a scan on the thigh he injured during the Reds' 3-0 defeat to West Ham at Anfield on Saturday.
Belgium coach Marc Wilmots revealed he could, however, return for Sunday's Group B game in Cyprus.
Benteke's injury means Everton striker Romelu Lukaku could start against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Wilmots is already without midfielder Mousa Dembele, who has been ruled out of both matches after he had a scan on an ankle injury suffered in Tottenham's 0-0 draw against Everton at the weekend.
Belgium trail group leaders Wales by two points as they seek a top-two finish to clinch a place at next summer's finals in France.
